Marin Karmitz

Marin Karmitz was born on 7 October 1938 in Bucharest. His second job in the French cinema was as assistant director to Agnes Varda, on the famous film CLEO FROM 5 to 7 (1961). He went on to become probably the best known film producer working in France today, and produced the three films THREE COLOURS: RED, WHITE, BLUE, and many other classics of international renown. He has been nominated once for an Oscar.
